After waking up early in the morning and packing
their bags, Eric and Ami headed down to the airport. Ami was sure to
tell the sitter that Daisy was a ghost dog to help lessen the shock
but she didn't tell her Jason could talk. She hoped that he would
behave himself. Eric smiled at Ami. "We're here! Smell that
fresh country air... Beautiful, isn't it?" Ami smiled back and
nodded. "Yeah. What should we do first?"
"Well, since Jason recommended it, I thought we
should go down to the nectary."
"Oh! That sounds fantastic! Lead the way."
Ami beamed at him.
Ami looked around in wonder. "Wow... Look at it
all... There's got to be a bottle of everything ever made here!"
Eric laughed. "Just about." "Think I could learn how
to make nectar myself?" He nodded. "Sure, why not?"
While Ami learned how to make the nectar, Eric took
to trying some of the wine they had out for sampling. "This is
fantastic..." "I hope mine turns out okay... I'm kind of
nervous."
Eric decided to buy some wine to take home after he
finished his sample. "Let's see... Oh, this one looks good."
Ami was having some issues squishing the grapes but
got right back up and kept trying.
Eric began to wander around the nectary while he
waited for Ami to finish up her own nectar. Down in the basement, he
found this strange well. "Hmm... This is interesting..."
Eric looked around before going in side the gate.
He stared down in to the liquid and squinted. "It
looks like something's down there..." After looking around once
more, he dived right in.
Ami was oblivious to Eric's well diving as she
started up the machine to finish making her nectar.
Soaking wet, but happy, Eric came out with a very old
wine bottle. "This will be a nice addition to our seemingly
growing collection of wine! We'll need a place to display it all when
we get home."
Eric glanced down the hallway and saw a strange
looking wall. "Hmm... Well this is interesting... I'll go get
Ami before I go poking around any further."
Eric found Ami but as soon as she saw him, she began
to freak out. "You're soaking wet...! Oh don't tell me it's
raining out... I don't want it to be raining.."
Eric smiled sweetly at her. "No, no. I found a
well downstairs with a wine bottle in it." "...What?"
"Anyway, I came up here to tell you that I think I found a
secret room. We should go explore it!"
Ami chuckled a little. "A secret room? Eric, I
think you've been watching too many adventure movies."
"No, I'm serious! There are all sort of hidden
tombs and rooms in old cities like this. It'll be fun!" Eric had
a huge grin on his face.
Ami frowned. "You are serious... Look, that sort
of stuff can be dangerous. Are you sure you want to go down?" He
nodded. "Positive. Don't worry, I'll protect you." Ami
flushed a little before nodding. "Alright... Sure.. We can go."
Eric beamed. "Great! Let's go!"
He brought them down to the hall way he found and as
soon as they got close to the wall, a secret door swung open. Ami
hesitated. "Whoa.. Hey umm, before we go in, I think I should
cast a good luck charm on us..."
Eric turned around to see that Ami had already pulled
out her wand. "Whoa, wait a second...! Have you ever done this
before?" "Well... No. But it should be fine." Eric
cringed. "Why not try it on yourself first..!?"
Eric suddenly felt himself surrounded by rainbows and
good feelings. "Huh... That wasn't so bad." Ami cast the
spell on herself as well before they went exploring.
"Wow... This place is neat!" Eric looked
around in wonder.
Ami smirked. "Reminds me of the house. Except we
don't have random metal bars laying around. At least, as far as I
know."
After finding another door, the two found a treasury.
"Oh wow..." Ami smiled as she looked around. Eric glanced
back at her. "You look in one chest and I'll look in the other,
okay?" Ami nodded. "Alright!"
The two found gold and very old wine bottles but
unfortunately no key for the next room.
The two walked out and in to the sitting room that
was in the basement. While there, Ami saw a wall that looked
different that the others. "Hey! Eric! I think I found another
hidden wall!" He smiled, glad that she was finding their
adventure exciting. "Great job! Let's see what's inside."
"Look! Old coins!" "And old wine..."
Ami frowned. "Eric..." He laughed. "What? It was
behind an old hidden wall. No one's going to miss it."
The two took a quick apple snack break before
continuing on.
"Hmm, another room... Does that chest have the
key we need?" Eric shook his head. "No, but there's more
money and old, fine wines in here."
Ami and Eric were quite hungry after their adventure.
So they went down to the bistro and got some dinner. Ami got a
mushroom dish that she enjoyed very much.
Eric decided to be brave and try frog legs. "Hmm,
not bad."
After dinner, Ami and Eric retired to their own
bedrooms. In the midst of her sleep, Ami had one of her old occurring
dreams that had stopped when she was a teenager. It was of a far away
place and people she didn't know. And yet, it felt so much more
familiar now. Ami muttered in her sleep and rolled over. "But I
don't love him... I think..."
Ami and Eric are a cute couple... if they were a couple. I like how curious Eric is. It makes things interesting.
ReplyDelete>^.^< He is curious. One of his traits is Adventurous so finding hidden doors and passages is like Christmas for him. Lol
